My reasons for putting SEO Marketing as the most effective kind of marketing for my product is because two of the most important aspects of my product are trustworthiness and authority, if other air travel related websites link to my trip planning web app, then my target demographic knows they can trust me and will be drawn to my product. This reasoning also explains why Social Media Marketing is second in line, pilots trust the opinions of other pilots as well as accounts such as the AOPA twitter account, to give flight hobbyists valid and truly helpful resources to use for their future flight trips. Mobile Marketing and smart display marketing are important for getting my target demographic to notice my product, although I find it imperative to first communicate the trustworthiness, authority, and quality of my product so that my target demographic will click on my display ad because they have seen through social media. Pay per click advertising is not a bad kind of advertising, but compared to the other marketing channels on the list, I see it as the lowest priority because my target demographic is people who are already searching for my kind of product, hobbyists already interested in flying, and establishing a connection with my audience through word of mouth and building trust through social media marketing and affiliating with other trusted resources and sites that pilots are already familiar with, I believe that an organic search will be much more effective at establishing a trusting relationship with my target demographic than an inorganic search.
