• Find out more information about the area that he lands in, like where to eat, what hotel to stay at, and what activities to participate in.
• Better communicate with AOPA what his suggestions and concerns are to clear up any communication problems as to what is causing pilots and flight hobbyists to drop out and stop flying.

Flying becomes more enjoyable.

BIG IDEA:

1: A web-app for private aircraft pilots that will allow them to see lists of places to eat, stay the night, exercise, etc… that are near their landing/destination spot.

FUNCTIONALITY:

This web-app will be used exclusively by registered private aircraft pilots of the AOPA. After the pilots pass their flight exam, they will be given credentials to create an account on this web-app, and by using it they will be able to plan their own trip, with multiple starting and ending destinations. Once the ending destinations are set, the user will be given a list of restaurants, hotels, gyms, theatres and tourist hotspots so they can enjoy their evening after flying. The web app will also have a suggestion box where pilots and write suggestions for additions to the app, and concerns about anything they have in mind. All suggestions and concerns will be forwarded directly to the AOPA staff. Along with encouraging more hobbyists to give flying a try, the web app will also come with an automated and more intuitive navigation log, and wind drift correction system designed to reduce the amount of hours pilots spend charting out their pre flight course and making sure the wind speed and direction is not too harsh to fly in.
